Audition for upcoming productions and bring characters to life on stage! No experience necessary—just a passion for performance.
We know auditions can feel intimidating, whether you're new to theatre or have been performing for years. Read below to learn what to expect at auditions so you can feel confident and prepared.
Flexible Audition Nights – Auditions take place over two nights, and you can choose either night to attend. No appointment needed—just sign in when you arrive!
Audition Times and Location – Auditions for our productions will be held at the Old Armory (320 1st Ave. E) at 7:00 pm unless otherwise noted.
Character Information – If available, we provide approximate age ranges for roles. We also recommend checking out the script or watching videos online to familiarize yourself with the characters.
Musical Auditions – You’ll sing both in a group and individually. No need to prepare a song in advance unless otherwise noted.
Non-Musical Auditions – All audition materials are provided and will be available at the audition.
General Auditions – Most auditions include a cold reading of selected scenes from the script in front of the director, stage manager, and other readers.
Rehearsals & Commitment – Rehearsals are usually on weeknights and weekends. Actors must be available for all dress rehearsals and performances. Specific schedules will be discussed at auditions.
Membership Requirement – Cast members must join Entertainment, Inc! at the Footlighter level ($20) or higher, which grants membership for the year, including voting privileges at the annual meeting.
