A hilarious musical comedy with the zany nonsense of vaudeville. The play takes place two hundred years before the Christian era on a spring day on a street in Rome in front of the houses of Erronius, Senex, and Lycus. The characters are deliciously unsavory. A befuddled father with a shrewish wife, neighbors, strangers and the Roman army are drawn into mounting confusion in this side splitting classic.
